The Learning Material for Erasmus+ Youth Participation Activities (KA154) is a place for you to learn and grow your participation ideas. It is intended to help you to understand the technical aspects of this Erasmus+ opportunity, how to foster qualitative youth participation in your project and beyond and also includes a lot of tips and tricks from people with experience. It is interactive, meant to be engaged with (e.g. colouring and writing in), and uses garden as a metaphor for planting the seeds of democratic participation and taking care of it further on. It connects to the changes made on the action in Erasmus+ Programme Guide 2026, including but not limited to youth participation definition, attention to decision-makers perspective, rights-based approach to youth participation, and more.

Who is it for?

Trainers, educators, youth workers, project teams

Everyone interested in youth participation in connection with Erasmus+ and
European Solidarity Corps, especially in submitting their idea for Erasmus+ Youth
Participation

It has been tested with National Agency officers and potential beneficiaries of the
material. We extend our gratitude to all those who participated in this process.

How to use it?

Learning material is created in a way that the user (National Agency officer, trainer, educator, project writing team, young person, etc.) can use it, as it is, or adapt it to their own context. You can:

  • download the tool here, or
  • use the digital version in Canva. For that please make a copy of the material
(File – Make a copy; might need logging in into your Canva account) and use
    it, as you find fitting.

You can use the entire material or parts of it, for example, using the last page to think about your project in its entirety with a participatory lens.

Users and project teams are still encouraged to explore the Erasmus+ Programme Guide for more details about the action and beyond, and consult their National Agency or Erasmus+ National Office.
