Towards a theory of children’s participation

This paper concentrates on children and young people’s participation in ‘public’ decision-making. The term ‘participation’ in the children’s field tends to have positive associations, seen as inevitably a ‘good thing’, something to be promoted, something that should be beneficial to all involved.
