How was the Pool created?

In 2019, the Pool was born on initiative of the SALTO PI team, for and with diverse actors from the Youth sector and the enthusiasm and financial support of National Agencies (particularly the partners of New Power in Youth SNAC) and the European Commission.

Over the years, it has adapted to the needs of the sector and offered dedicated content pages on Youth Participation, Media Information Literacy, Communication and Digital Transformation, that were created with experts and practitioners, including the SALTO Youth Participation Think Tank and the Digital Transformation Advisory Board, and other advisers, ambassadors and other consultative groups whose fundamental contributions we are grateful for.

In 2023, SALTO PI’s mandate expanded to cover both Youth and Education & Training fields, which reflected in new content and structural changes to include also School Education, Higher Education, Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education in Participation Pool.
